2024 Hitting HARD!

New Music, content, and shows!

Lyric Video – Bring Me Down

We released a new track with the New Year called Bring Me Down. We have more music ready to release as final mix and production completes. This is set to culminate in a new album release by the end of 2024.

The video is James’ first attempt at a Lyric Video to promote the latest release and kick off this year’s line-up of kick ass work by everyone in the band.

Stay tuned as we pull everything together for shows and guerilla live broadcasts.

New Single on the way

Bring Me Down just wrapped recording and mixing.

It is a departure from our usual style, but still maintains the core of who we are as a band. It will be released 12/20/2023 on Bandcamp, and then worldwide for streaming once that debut is complete.

We will be following up with another single shortly, and these will be the vanguard for our next album release.

Follow us over on Bandcamp!

March blew by like a fucking tornado.

We got some writing and organizing done at the practice pad. We have several new songs on the bubble, and almost half a set worth of material that has not been performed live. We’re excited to be shopping for shows to bring them to you and light up the stage.

The cords are still all over the place, but that is what happens when creating. Sometimes chaos ensues. And that’s ok.

We had some visitors pop in and hang out with us. Nikki and Paul wanted to check us out before Paul went back home to Ireland. We do not have plans for a European tour this year, but if we did, we know we could rely on Paul to make some noise in Ireland for us!

Back to making noise… and kicking James’ ass into writing more updates so we do not appear to have gone into hiding.

And the instruments play HAHAHAHAHA

We ran through a bunch of ideas and roughed out several to show Chrsi what happens when we are neglected.

Short update post-practice, but that is what happened. We were left unsupervised and we went on a sonic exploration.

Fucking around

Not every practice has to be productive. Sometimes you have a shit week and want to blow off some steam. Or hit some steam. Or a vape. Whatever. At least the decor is on point

Tapestries never get old

So This week’s practice was the fucking around variety. We made the usual noises, had some fun with it and played some bad covers as well. Recorded a potential new song snip that we will revisit.

Shiny

All in all, we had fun. Made fun of each other and maybe had a shot or two.

If you are not having fun with your band, why the fuck even show up? There are no bad practices. If everyone shows up, has fun, and resets for the week, it was good. We all do our homework and technique shit outside the practice pad. Once in that room with the amps on fucking fire, and the drums slamming, that is what it is about. If the chemistry is bad it will show up on stage. The ability to take a shit night and turn it into a fun night… is as important as nailing parts. That shows up on stage too.

On a side note – Bacon-flavored vodka? REALLY?!?!?!?! FFS – Why is that even in the practice pad?

If you visit us – you have to take a shot for your first visit. HAHAHAHA

Practice/Rehearsal 011223

Tonight was what it is about.

It is not every day your band grows as a crew. Something about tonight had that vibe. Yeah, we had some fuck ups and had to revisit a few parts, but that is to be expected. But tonight, we jammed. We flowed. Almost every song we played hit a pocket moment with us all.

I will be recording basslines for a single we are releasing soon. Being honest, re-recording. I am not happy with what I produced on my own, and Chris will handle the DAW for me while I put in a better performance. This is just the way it has to be sometimes. We are a band, not 4 stray musicians who happened to rent a rehearsal space together. I play our music better when I have one of my band bros with me.

2019 Seems like forever ago.

Every one of us has improved some aspect of our role. We are approaching this new year with that in mind. Passion is improvement. Honing our craft is improvement. Defying entropy to expand our scope and vision… that is the movement we maintain.

We gotta get an updated selfie next practice.

Stay tuned! Live stream coming at you soon.

2023 Begins

multi-exposure by Alex Plasko

Closing out 2022, we played fewer live shows while increasing our original catalog. We have become a bit more focused on writing and direction and this will lead to great-quality live production as we emerge into 2023. We made new friends. We faced some personal challenges among our members and came out stronger on the other side.

There are no resolutions coming into the new year. Just a continued determination to enjoy music, creation, performing, and expanding horizons further. Longer sets. Better visual entertainment. Tighter performances. These are all continuing goals.

Long story short (too late!) – We want to entertain the fuck out of you! Sound good doing it, and look good delivering it.

We played our first show back over at the Rebel Lounge on Black Friday. It was a weekend to be thankful for.

Kim with 13th Floor Entertainment added us to the bill and was kick ass to work with. Zherra headlined and dropped a new CD. They put on one hell of a set playing new songs and a few of their older ones to keep the fans happy. Riot Gear brought the energy and showmanship before we went on and Weapon of Pride brought serious energy and a classic sound to the stage to start us all off right.

We were on the tail end of several segments for the band. We had just finished making a video for our first ever recorded cover tune. We had written nearly an entirely new set worth of tunes. We all were feeling that need to get our asses on stage. In October, due to James being out of town, we had to turn down a few show offers. It was perfect timing when we got work Zherra was looking for another opener for their release party.

We were setting up for most of Riot Gear’s set, so only got to hear them after the first 10 minutes. We were setting up out back and some of the other band members as well as some staff offered to help us. It took all the tension out of the night. It felt like the “old days” in the scene where we all hung out the entire night and the bands genuinely enjoyed being there from start to finish. There was not a sense of clique from anyone. There were groups and people just mingled freely around in and out of the club like everyone was old friends.

Brian killing it

Once we hit the stage the energy in the room was amazing. The people came up and paid attention. They got into the groove. Members from other bands rocked out with us. It was a fucking night to have fun! The sound guy got us sounding great and we opened up with a song off our first EP. Any sense of “stage rust” disappeared with the familiar opening notes screaming out of Mike’s cabinet.

Running through the set, with each song, the groove just kept getting deeper and better. The sound on the stage and upfront was perfect. The few technical difficulties were cleared without fucking up the flow. Brian and James locked into the pocket on each song. Mike held down the rhythm and leads with soaring tones. Chris lead us through to closing out with a new tune and a somewhat new style for us.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us over the last few years. We are evolving. We are making stranger noises.

We will be back on stage as soon as we fucking can!

Indogen at home

Long time no update!

Indogen’s Bassbastard here.
We are writing, shooting some video and gathering gear for more fun this year. The new year has come and gone, almost a full month in. We are all experiencing that live performance withdrawal, and need to just get out and have an in person scene. Our plans for live streaming are coming together, but has not been the priority over writing, healing, and preparing extemporary content.

Before we release the EP we were working on, we are discussing adding 3 or more new songs to make it a full album. More filming is in the works for not just a cover vid, but some live tunes. Some stylistic additions to expand our sound… and lights.

We have always had lights as part of our live presentation, but we have added more options. If we need to produce a dull live show without a venue, we now have that capability. It is exciting, and will prove challenging as well. Hit us up for more updtes!

Much love.
